Magic deck of cards rectos illustration

Figures for the illusionists' deck of cards, associated with the graduation project of a book "Maja" by Jostein Gaarder. All figures were created by hand as the knife cut-outs. The design is the interpretation of the historical resources – sculptures of Holy Mary, portraits of kings from coins, and armours. The deck itself contains a mysterious manifesto playing a significant role in the Gaarder's book.
